Since 2010, Scott A. Shumway has been passionate about solving conflict in people’s lives. This obsession began when he met Michael who was battling an addiction with alcohol. Scott resolved to find the root cause for Michael’s upside-down life. The product of that decade-long investigation resulted in the publication of the book “The Invisible-Four-letter Word.” During those same years, Scott applied the principle he was documenting in the book to his business practices and began taking people and businesses to new heights.

Emiment was founded in 2020 by Scott amid the COVID19 pandemic when real improvement to personal and business responses to conflicts was vital to success. Principles of the business are based on the book “The Invisible Four-letter Word”.
